The Golden Egg Awards 2022
This year’s Golden Egg theme celebrated creativity with a title ” LOOV(creative in Estonian) IS IN THE AIR!” It was a celebration of love, creativity and love against creativity.
A total of 822 works were submitted to the Golden Egg Awards among which the most popular categories were branding, PR and event marketing. “We are also pleased to see that the digital design categories launched last year have been well received by the industry, and the double-digit number of works has been submitted to both the UX / UI category and the cross-environmental design,” said Anniken Haldna, The Golden Egg head organizer.
According to Kadri Ann Mikiver, the head of the design jury, the packaging category caused the most excitement in their jury. “We brought the packages back to the table several times, looked at them and discussed them. There was a lot of excitement and discussion, because you can’t always understand the size, quality, material, workmanship, printing, etc. of the picture. That’s why we spent more time with packaging, even though there was less work than in branding, “she explained.
Ken Matsalu, the head of the event marketing jury, praised the commitment of the specialists and stated that the coronavirus was still affecting the field of events last year. “Last year there were a lot of restrictions again, and one of the trends was definitely online events. There weren’t many of them in the previous years, but now maybe they have become commonplace, “the head of the jury explained. “Secondly, I would like to point out the share of international events in the competition. On one hand people came to Estonia to perform their events from elsewhere, on the other hand, Estonian agencies did events abroad. It was fierce! ”
The Golden Eggs were given out at the event for the brightest acts and creators of advertising, design, digital advertising, public relations and event marketing. A total of 47 Golden Eggs, 57 Silver Eggs, 60 Bronze Eggs and 7 Special Eggs were announced.
